Representation of Women in Print

The video was about how women are over-sexualised in comparison to men who are portrayed in a normal everyday life in modern tabloids like The Sun.

"But when we looked at the wall, the two sides are utterly different."
"The men are nearly all active, doing something. Not posed... the women are passive. It's all about how they look."
"When I look at the men's side, I see real life... but when I look at the women's side, it doesn't seem real. It's all manufactured."
"and there's not a single picture of a woman doing sport"
"There's a range of emotions on the men's side... the women are mainly smiling or pouting."

I do agree that women in newspapers today are being over-sexualised in the modern day and I believe that we should have page 3 any more. Nobody buys newspapers today just to look at page 3 people can just find all the content they need online if they want it.

These are three articles that further back what the no more page 3 campaign.
