Reebok Advert Analysis
Denotation - It's an Reebok Advert with 50 cent
Connotation - In the advert includes on the half of the image, fingerprints and the other half 50 cent because this links together because 50 cent used to be in prison and the picture is in black and white because to make the advert look serious.
Font - The font they use for "i am what i am" looks like graffiti.
Copy - The there are two different copies in this advert, one of them is in the middle of the advert which is "i am what i am" which means don't change for anyone and be yourself. And the other one is a direct quote from 50 cent "Where I am from, there is no plan B, So, take advantage of today because tomorrow is not promised." Which means you shouldn't take life for granted and always has a plan A NEVER a plan B.
Colour - They made all the image black and white to make the advert more serious and it also adds to the effect of gangster culture.
Compression - They split the image in half to show 50 cent now and the fingerprints which relate to his past in gangster culture and him being in prison
Type of Shot - Medium Close Up
Subject Matter - Gangster Culture
Setting - Studio
Size - 50/50 between the two picture
