Channel History
The BBC Three Channel officially started in 2003 with it's own channel however it really started in 1998 as a BBC Choice. BBC noticed that the audience that was watching BBC three was mainly teenagers and young adults so they re branded the channels with teenagers and young adults as their new target audience and put more programmes that would appeal to a younger audience and started to offer programmes that were different like Little Britain. However by having a younger target audience some viewers were offended by the new content that was produced in comparison to what they used to produced and by BBC Three targeting a niece audience they are now planning to put BBC Three on BBC iPlayer because the younger audience can normally access that kind of content off the internet.
