WWW: Your interpretation of the contrapuntal sound task was different but interesting - and it's
great to see you editing video at this early stage.
EBI: Your blog is a little worrying - you're missing a lot and not doing basics like highlighting media
language. Firstly, check posts are complete - the sound feedback post should include reflection from
you as well as my feedback. I'd also like to know why you thought Kishan, Kacper and Mansour's
presentations were so good! You're also missing a few posts completely - mise-en-scene, lighting
stills analysis. These are vital and need to go up over the weekend. Finally, you need to work on your
media consumption, particularly news. You can use Twitter to access it but you absolutely need an
understanding of the media world (including news/politics/journalism) if you want to achieve in A
Level Media.
LR: Reflect on your first month of AS Media. What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is
your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?
Best piece of work was my Contrapuntal Sound Video because I put the most amount of effort into it and I liked how it turned out. My weakest piece of work is all the work that is missing on my blog. The Skill I need to develop is how I manage my time
